I have a few friends that have a chip in their duramax and their mileage got better by adding it about 2-5 mpg's But the more you use your right foot the mileage will go down. I have seen these trucks only 13-18 mpg's driving normal. The newer ones in the new body I hear are getting worse mileage due to the diesel particulate filter.
