I was interested in getting a cold air intake and exhaust for my 08 Wrangler but I’m not sure if this will help or hurt my fuel economy. What ways can I maximize my Wrangler’s MPG?
Also how would I maximize my horse power as well? What do I need to do to my truck to add ridiculous horse power? Will doing so effect the fuel economy? Thanks…

Take it back and get something else. With cars and trucks there is one certainty. You can have great fuel economy and poor performance, or Poor fuel economy and Great performance. You can’t have both. If you are trying to get more horsepower out of your wrangler your not going to find ways to get better fuel economy. Pick one, you can’t have both.
The intake and exhaust mods won’t hurt fuel economy just by installing them. However, I’ve noticed that when I drive cars after adding louder intakes/exhausts, I tend to drive them harder because I like the sound – therefore making my gas mileage worse.
As far as what to do to maximize mileage, you COULD install a taller rear-end gear to lower your RPM when cruising, but it will definitely slow your Jeep’s acceleration as a side effect – and the new Jeeps aren’t real fast to begin with so I’d probably just live with the bad mileage because there’s not much else you can do.
As far as adding some power goes you can always find supercharger kits out there, but be prepared to spend thousands of dollars to get one and install it.
