Those RPM’s are crazy low!! It’s barely over 1200 @ 60mph. Steep overdrive in 6th gear. Don’t drive any slower, or the car will bog and you will have to downshift to 5th.

believe it or not its true i have a trans am with longtube headers, cam, stall, with the ls1 motor this one is a ls3. my car puts 410 rwhp and i get 29 highway with the auto 4 speed and a huge stall converter.

i get around 18 in my modded mustang. but thats a rough estimate. i used to drive a built truck. got 7 mpg… but i still miss her. haha

I have a 99 trans am, with an LS1 and an automatic. At 142,000 miles it still gets 27 mpg highway.
in normal world – where you don’t drive on high way only, where you have to accelerate and brake all the time – it does perhaps 15-20 mpg..
